Modifying Purchase Order Templates

In CostMiner, you can customise how your purchase orders appear when printed or exported. This is done by modifying the purchase order template using the built-in HTML report designer.

Accessing the Report Designer

You can access the template settings by following these steps:

  1. In the Purchase Orders right-panel, select any existing purchase order.

  2. From the dropdown menu, choose one of the following options:
    • Purchase Orders – Generate or print selected purchase orders.
    • Requests for Quote – Create quote requests.
    • Variation Orders – Manage changes to existing orders.
    • Work Orders – Generate work orders if needed.
  3. Click the Design button at the top of the Purchase Orders panel.


  4. Then click Edit to open the HTML Report Designer.

After clicking Edit, you’ll be taken to the HTML Report Designer screen.

Here, you can:

  • Modify the HTML and CSS code that controls the layout and styling of your template.
  • See a live preview of your changes on the right-hand side.
  • Rename the template by updating the template name field at the top.
  • Save your changes using the Save button.
  • Exit the editor by clicking Close Editor.

This is useful if you want to create multiple template versions for different suppliers or scenarios.
